Bob Pender In Memoriam (1957 - 2017)
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Bob Pender, HGGC Executive Director, colleague and friend, following his courageous battle with Leukemia.
Prior to joining HGGC, Bob served as Chief Operating Officer of Serena Software, an HGGC portfolio company where he helped navigate a successful investment. As an HGGC Executive Director, Bob continued to monitor and support the efforts of financial leaders across a number of our portfolio companies. Bob also provided diligence insight and operational mentorship across our investment team. In addition to the personal and work relationships we had with Bob, he was a long-time supporter of the Forever Young Foundation, a cause very important to us. Although no words can adequately express our sadness at Bob’s sudden passing, we will honor his amazing commitment to the success of the Forever Young Foundation with a donation in his memory.
