Phil Sampognaro

Phil joined HGGC in 2013, is active in the Firm’s investments in Grand Fitness Partners, Beauty Industry Group, and Pearl Holding Group. Phil was previously involved in the Firm’s exited investments in Marmic, Mi9, and MyWebGrocer.

Prior to joining HGGC, Phil was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at Deutsche Bank, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, initial public offerings, and equity and debt financings.

Phil received his M.B.A., with honors, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and received his B.S.B.A. in Finance and International Business, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University.
